Alimosho Grammar School, fondly known as Aligrams, is more than a school. It is a heritage, a community, and a shared experience that continues to connect generations of students.
Our story
More than a school.
Our story began in September 1978, when the institution was established as Deji Odutola College of Commerce by Alhaji R. A. Odutola. Located along Raji-Oba, Alimosho, Lagos, the school began its journey with a commitment to education and the development of young minds.
In January 1980, the school was taken over by the Lagos State Government under the administration of Governor Lateef Jakande. Mr. J. A. Odejide became its first principal under state ownership, marking a new chapter in the institution's history.
Over the decades, Alimosho Grammar School has played an important role in shaping the lives, ambitions, and aspirations of its students. The lessons learned, friendships formed, and values acquired within its walls have become part of a shared legacy that unites Aligrams graduates across generations and geographical boundaries.
Our history
From twenty graduates to thousands.
Founded in 2015, the ALIGRAMS Alumni Association began with a small but determined group of 20 graduates who recognised the importance of staying connected to one another and giving back to their alma mater.
What began as a modest gathering of former students has grown into a community representing thousands of professionals across the globe. Our members contribute to diverse sectors, including management, technology, government administration, and other fields of human endeavour.
Today, the Association continues to build on the vision of its founding members: to strengthen alumni relationships, promote collective welfare, preserve the heritage of Alimosho Grammar School, and create meaningful opportunities for members to support one another and contribute to the school's continued development.
